One of the most important points for a good business presentation is understanding the subject matter. Having an understanding of the subject makes you not totally reliant on your notes.

Keeping the presentation clear and organized is another essential point. The introduction will grab everyone’s attention, and then there will be main points, followed by a conclusion to make sure that people remember why this presentation was given in the first place. I have also learned that a slide should be kept neat and tidy, rather than stuffed with information, as this will distract people’s attention from what’s being spoken.

Body language greatly influences the perceived confidence and competence of a presenter. When a presenter looks at his audience while using correct hand gestures to support his message he’ll appear much more competent and professional to the audience than if he did not do those things. In planning future presentations, I am aware that confidence in myself does not mean I will never have nerves simply, I will know how to prepare for the nervous feelings that come and go from me. Being well prepared will help me to be less anxious and more able to concentrate on delivering my message clearly rather than focusing solely on what might go wrong during my presentation.

I personally feel that as I am doing more practice, it becomes easier for me to become comfortable with my presentation abilities. Having strong presentation skills is important in business because it helps you convey your message clearly, while also leaving a favourable impression on others. The following tips have changed how I view presentations. Instead of seeing presentation as something I should be afraid of, I now view it as a chance to continue and develop my career.
