How I Can Become a Better Listener

Previously, I thought that listening just required me to remain silent while the other person spoke. However, with the help of this course, I got to realized that listening includes more than just being quiet. It involves concentration, and an interest in what the other person is saying. A good example of how I can improve my listening skills is to pay close attention to what the speaker says. This suggests that I should pay complete attention to what the speaker is saying rather than being distracted by other activities, such as checking my phone. Being totally attention will allow me to better understand what the speaker is saying. Using nonverbal communication is another important part of being a better listener.
